The Crumbs Chronicles. - 10-27-2009, 01:32 AM

I meant to put this up earlier cuz it seemed like nobody else was doing it then I forgot.

This video blog is specifically for those that are interested in possibly getting some training tips and would like to see what it takes to truly get ready for battles. If your reading this and already hating then its very simple, this video blog isn't for you. Just don't watch it. Anybody else interested, check it out. I wanted to put this up a couple days ago but had some trouble downloading it. Its a big file so, better late then never.

This video blog also features Style Elements, Killafornia, Footwork Fanatix, Originality Stands Alone, Crazy Legs, Poe One, JayRawk, Flave, Machine, Lil Rock, Steelo, Moy, Enerjetik, Ruen, Nabil, El Nino, Bas 1, unique & intense training with Flo Master, an interview with "Remind" droppin some gems on the bboy scene today, an interview with "Orko" droppin gems on some west coast bboy history, it follows "The Monsta Squad" through our recent experience training together for "Freestyle Session 12" and also captures us throughout the event (don't worry Cros or Polo, I didn't put any dance footage from day 2) it also goes through some clips with Me, Machine, Josh & Mach 3 rehearsing for our recent performance on "Dancing With The Stars". It just has a lot of different footage cats might like. Think of "The Real World" Bboy style. Also there is some footage in this video blog that might not be acceptable for young kids...its real and raw...so parents might wanna keep the lil ones away lol seriously though. The Running Time for this video blog is 2 hours and 2 minutes all in High Definition....Enjoy!
It uploads way quicker if you turn the HD mode off in the right hand corner of the clip.

Crumbs was talking about fast footwork as a style of dancing in the 80s-early 90s. He said they've done it way back and it was easy. Does it mean that cats like Redfoot, Kid Glyde should get less respect/dickriding 'cos what they're doing is like child's play? i think it was in part 6/7 when he was talking to Remind.

I think Crumbs is talking about people who just do fast footwork because they think that single aspect alone makes their footwork good.

thanks, that cleared things up a lot for me.
but what remind and crumbs talked about is just part of the picture, from what i figure. lots of mixed messages comin out of peoples' mouths so let us all just figure it out in the circle, i guess.

The point of Remind's speech was to come into yourself as a dancer not to follow the dancing 'trends' I.E. start doing airchairs cuz they're popular then just when you start to make original airchair moves/transitions pikes become popular so you start doing pikes.

Given that's a very move oriented example so it doesn't perfectly illustrate what he was saying they're talking more about the style or the actual way you dance. For example hella foundational styles have become popular recently so a lot of people have started doing that instead of what they were doing before so instead of building their own style they're just following the bandwagon.

In So-Cal a lot of abstracty blowupy stuff is really popular atm so if you were doing shit a certain way and instead of developing that you started following the abstract bandwagon thats the kind of stuff they're talking about.

The other end of that and the only thing thats a little backwards about it is Crumbs talks about being a different dancer every round and throwing different styles. So I can see how thats a little of both sides in the same speech... but the point was to influence the dance not to let it influence you.
