omg yall. As much as i love bboyin, yall gotta remember security is trying to do their job. Yall ever heard of liability and insurance? business whether it be corporate or privatley owned all have their own insurance policies to protect their staff and properties, but guess what? they dont cover people who do wild things. So as much as im sure everyone loves watching yall show off ur windmills and moves in public, if yall get hurt...the company or owner gets slapped with a huge fine and perhaps settlements. So to keep that from happening, they keep us from dancing there. Ive been kicked out many times and im considered pro, but if im asked to do a performance or anything, i have to sign madd waivers and llabilities.

yall understand? they aint hating on u guys, they just gotta follow the rules to keep their jobs and businesses. I hate defending authority like this, but we gotta look at things in perspective.

Thats true atomic
In some jams they make you sign waivers so that the venue that its being hosted at doesnt get sued or anything if you get hurt.

Ya haha - we were just all talking about how wack it was getting kicked out of PUBLIC places like the park and the guy came up and struck up a conversation with us lol.
Next thing you know, the words coming out of his mouth were, "They shouldn't be allowed to do that, don't worry - I'm going to complain to the council about this, this is ridiculous. Anyways, you guys did a good job."

hhaha i was dancing in disneyworld in the rain...security told me to put my shoes back on...but not to stop dancing...but if i danced in my flip flops im sure i would have slipped and sprained my ankle or something. anyways goof is right its mostly about liability reasons and not disturbing the peace

well you know, you can't really blame them. They do their job. I know, i wish bboying was allowed in the many places like malls and stuff. But they just don't want someone to random get smacked in the face, ya know? Even if you are careful, your friends might not be. I guess it's how they approach you. Some guards will be cool about it, and other will be douches. But you know, they do what they gotta do.

They made the wide screen, so Asian people like me can watch T.V.

^ read atomics post. He is correct about his information. The movie theater/mall doesn't want to be sued because you broke your neck or something.

sometimes you just gotta suck up to security haha, i was in the mall across the street from me, and me and a couple of my friends were having a short session near the back of the mall. first thing i do when he comes up to us is suck up to him, strike up a conversation. later i bring up the fact that we're sessioning and he says "i don't see you guys breakdancing, nope". that was probably the coolest security guy ever haha.
