I lost... - 08-05-2008, 01:35 PM

I went to my first jam on sunday, and got told 2 enter the 1v1 battles that were happenin there. Me being the youngest and the least experienced there i wasnt as good as the others, which resulted me in losing in the first round.

Does it matter if u lost to someone who has been bboying for longer than u? cause ive only been bboying for about a year now and the other guy about 4/5 years.

thanks

Why does it matter if you lose. Take it as a learning experience.

dont worry about losing, its all about the journey. You cant expect to be a bboy and never have lost. Even the best of the best didnt start killin it. As far as your question about experience vs experience...I wouldnt think of a battle that way. Its all about if u tried ur best and gave ur all. Like everyone else is saying, u learn from this and u prepare for ur next battle. U will only get better from here.

My first battles were against the state's best crews, i battled them with an arsenal of 2 moves. From that point on, i made a promise and dedication to beat those guys and guess what....i have :-D multiple times lol

i thought it wud be the case of xperience vs xperience. cause if u think about it, if u manage 2 keep a good battle, and then u check how long theve been bboyin for u wud think that was a battle in itself. but thanks for all the encouragement anyways, cause i took a little bit of a downy after that day lol

How long you've bboyed doesn't always matter. Someone who practices everyday for one year straight could be the same, if not better than someone who practiced every other day for two years.

It's not really about learning a lesson, if you think about it, what lesson could you learn? Not to battle someone who is better? No, there's no lesson man.

You should be doing it for fun, when you have fun it doesn't matter if you win or if you lose. The seniors at my school always made us (the new bboys) battle them just for fun and to get experience.

Look at it as the first of many and not the end of your bboy career

yea i lost my first battle too man, but its no biggie. like wut everyones been sayin, take that loss and use it to make urself better. losing is natural, its either you or ur opponent, and there's always better people than you out there, so dont let ur first loss or any other loss get u down
