at least he was mroe time then you.
its worse if they less trust me. just needa learn to get over it. ive lost 95% of ym battles, the one i won were against <1 year or lil bit over a year and im 3 and a halfish. so dnt feel bad. 4/5 years above is not necessarily better ALL the time, just more experienced.

Losing always makes you stronger, and gives you a deeper drive when they smirk at you after you lose.

Hey; it's impossible to be a bboy and win all the time; there's a lot out there and even the ones you battle could be pros. Just don't take it too hard; and practice even harder.

i wish i could lose! I'm not sayin i win, i'm trying to say that i have no one to battle against ... i live in the country, and that's just not their thing.

if i can't lose i can't get better ...

I personally never expect to win or advance. As long as you can dance and have fun, then thats what matters.

To me, when you enter a battle, you battle to win, that's sorta what bboying is all about if u think about it. I mean why do you session? to get better...why do you want to get better? to win

bboying is about making a name for urself in the bboy community, it's to stand out as an individual.....if ur not aiming to win u shouldn't battle and just stick to cyphers let someone else who wants to win take ur spot

competition is what drives this art why do u think there are jams and battles in the first place?

it's fun just to battle... and if you respect your opponent and their dancing, it's all good gettin beaten :]

i gotta disagree wit u Slip ... battling isn't just about winning. At first, battling is about observing and taking in the style (NOT BITING). Then it becomes about showing your own style or your crew's style and expressing yourself. It's great if you win, but i can have just as much fun losing. In some cases, battling is about proving your style superior to someone else's but winning and losing is all just about opinions ... so i battle to battle ... not to win

I completely agree with dude who said when you go into battling - you go in hoping/expecting/trying to win. That's what it is. Like that's the challenge. Yeah it's about having fun, but battling was always about showing people up, taking that anger and violence out on the cardboard and not with the hands. So yeah - It's about getting it out, having fun - but giving it your all. And when you give it your all you expect to win.

I hate losing. I've only been in 3battles, lost once - Ugh it's not a good fckn feeling &&_I've been giving it my all and letting my creativity flow ever since. For real.

Like last year? Damn... started battling early... took me 9months to even meet another bboy >_<

I went to that jam cuz Chibi told me about it and I saw there were 1v1s and I really wanted to enter something (1v1s are AMAZINGLY rare in these parts... 2v2 3v3 5v5 crew v crew are the common formats and I have no partner no crew for the time being). Because of that battle I met Dat Nguyen (The guy I was battling against) who is now a close friend and kind of like my breaking coach/mentor. (Plus hilarious as all hell as are the rest of the guys from Calamity! Hahaha)

Dat is who I've been travelling with and the single strongest positive influence in my breaking... so if you trace it all the way back none of that would have happened if I hadn't entered the 1v1 that day...

Therefore I'm going to revise what Slip said a bit, enter everything you can to gain experience confidence ect. Try your damndest to win every battle, but don't put your entire happiness on it, sometimes battling has more important and positive outcomes than winning!

yeaah dude. what madd said. it doesn't matter. it's not like before a battle they ask...ok how long have you been breaking? and compare. I'ts what you got and what you can execute. Never think This guy has been breaking 4 or 5 years and i've only been breaking 1

think it more like this:
I have a wallet that is 1 year old and the guy I'm battling has had his for 4 or 5 years. But regardless I'm gonna battle him and instead of looking at the "wallet" and how long you've had it for. Look inside with the quality aka the money inside of it. Who has got more?

You understand that? i was told that in judo but instead of years the wallet was the color of our belts. it didn't matter about the wallet. It's about who has more money aka skill
