whats the drills for "using the hips" -

hi everybody..
i just wanne ask.. lot of bboy here on the forum said that "hey u dont use ur hips" or "use ur hips kid! it would be help" omg.. i just dunno know how to use the hips.. can somebody here tell me the drills for using ur hips on every moves?? powermoves, blowups, etc. thanks.. then sorry for my bad english.. hehe |

thats somethin you have to integrate into your bboyin movements without thinking. if you want that motion though you could practice the pimp walk. |

put ur hands on your hips, and spread your legs shoulder width,
start rotating, you should get sorta like a pelvic square going, dong move your knees jus rotate around, it looses up those tight muscles that keep it so rigid. |

Well in it normally refers to twisting your hips for more momentum. Like in windmills for example, if you twist your hips as part of your initial kick it helps a lot.

For flares, you use your hips. To practice that, do the six step, but keep your shoulders pointing the direction you started off. So while you're doing all the steps, face a wall, and keep facing it while doing it. You'll notice you're using all hips for it.
