Practicing Footwork in |Shoes or Socks-Does it Make a Difference? -
08-02-2008, 03:48 PM
I wanted everyone's opinion because sometimes I practice my footwork in shoes and other times i'll just be wearing socks. Will this throw me off in any way?
I've always practiced this way and it feels the same to me. When I work on my speed I put on my ankle weights and it actually helps my speed of course. So What do you guys think socks or shoes or both? |

It does make a difference.. I've been practicing without shoes for song that it kinda slowed me down when I wear shoes.

I think its better to practice in shoes.
Hey I was wondering though. What kind of shoes do you guys B-Boy in? Cause I have very large feet and im not all that tall compared, so its hard to Bboy in sneakers. I might just have to get used to it though. What kind of shoes do you all use? |

yeah, you should practice in shoes, or else you'll be thrown off by the extra weight when you gotta use them.

Shoes. Period.
Let me ask you a question, are you gonna go to a jam and bboy with your socks and no shoes? Like seriously. |

Get your shit right before you try to correct others' shit.

Only to the inexperienced
... That burning sensation is there to remind you that:a) you're doing it wrong. b) you're a pansy. I'm just kidding. I couldn't help myself lol. Besides, who wouldn't want to develop huge, sexy callouses covering 90% of their body? Word on the street is that callouses are the new panty-dropper. |

Shoes always. You'll just be limiting yourself if you don't.
