during summer, shorts are cool for me, although most of the time i break in my black jeans, in terms of shoes, anything light that wont kill your footwork speed, usually i stick within the nike, puma, addidas, reebok range. Shirts, whatever your style. Material wise im not sure, but most breaking shoes that everyone loves tend to be suede....or converse (BOOOO CONVERSE SUCKS). Umm music is a necessary part of breaking lol..and yeahhh, elbow pads and stuff, yeah they help, but its really only if you're practicing spinning stuff that i use them, but you can use whatever you want. :O good luck

whats great for practicing is like an underaromr knock offs that have pads sown in, wrestling pads are ideal, helps stop those burns you get on your upper body from accidents

Chucks is slang for Chuck Taylor All-Stars probably the most famous and most recognizable of the Converse shoes lines (for more info: Chuck Taylor All-Stars - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). As for what you should wear, go with what's comfortable really. Bboying is about your own style so just do what you do. Footwear wise you can use any kind of athletic shoes. For equipment go to a local sports store, they should have everything you need.

That's the best way to go, then. What goes through my head when dressing to dance is, "will I ruin this?" and, "Will I be able to move in this?"

Nothing more.

It should look your part. That's all.

Get some wrist/arm bands to protect your arms and help spin and maybe a beanie that's good for headspins. The rest is your own style.

BTW, don't get chucks cause people tell you to. IMHO Chucks are cool if you're a Weezer worshipping slacker. Get some kicks that you feel comfortable breaking in.

i dont rock pads ever unles im ingured. i usualy rock dickies there mad dope to break, in reasonably cheep, and stylin to, they come in all colours aswell. i sudgest if you buy dickies though you get the clasic fit, (the ones without the double knee) i think they look nicer, the ones with the double knee fit to baggy, id sudgest foam hats if yo can find them there also cheep and good to break in. they offer lots of protecton there hard to find in canada and usa though also for shoes someones probably already said this but id sudgest puma suedes or ar adidas gazels also for the guy who said not to break in chucks i used to do it all the time there great for foot work i find them realy comfy, and if matched well look dope also you can find them mad cheep if you look in the right places i would defanitly sudgest breaking in them but hey, thats my opinion

i went to a running store nearby, and bought a youth large kneepad. and it works as a fine elbowpad. flexfit hat, cuz flatrims are for wierd peopel. just flatten the rim and keep it a little rounded. i just got baggy ecko pants. and i love them. good jeans. i wear t-shirts w/e. if its colder ill throw on a hoody, [i need to get my sleeveless one] and shoes, i hear good about suede. i was gunna try and get the new suede puma's. but i rock starbury's. then a beanie, and bike gloves or golf gloves and whatever wristbands/sweatbands u want

Yea my favorite clothes to bboy in would be like a black hoodie, jeans, my favorite pair of sneakers (DC or Nikes <3.. (white)) A long white shirt underneath the hoodie, Black or white durag or black or white bandana underneath a black cap. Sometimes i'd wear wrist bands just cuz of the way it feels xD

and yea thats my bboy attire xD.

Neepsterz Crew

I finally decided to go w/ a bboy name that better suits me. Bboy Shadow Vigilante . I chose this because "vigilante", i have a vigilante attitude, and "shadow", i kinda like dark themes...but not too dark to be emo =]

If you have questions, you can aim me, its Dark Iljimae (Im sometimes on =])

Or if you're more formal, you can pm me here or email me at Shadowvigilante@live.com ... sry if its a little long
