charge people for private lessons, performances, teach at a studio and try and get a sponsor for trips/battles etc. If you're in LA, MIA or NY you can sign wth an agency and they can book you for movies, music videos, tours, and other shows.

Yes. Is there anyone on here, who has a career in bboying?
Dance at shows, get a dance studio, get lessons, go to contests like Winner Takes All or IBE and try to get money there, but it's not really about the money, it's more about having fun. It's also nice to get rich too tho
you really can't as a competitor. if you wanna bboy you have to have another job to support you. that is unless you become successful AND open up a dance studio. only then can you make bboying a career. otherwise, bboying is forever just a hobby...
train and battle. Get urself known and develope a style of ur own...stand out above the rest. Once you get like that, you start getting noticed and respected. Reason why i say this is because there are literally millions of bboys out there, what makes you special and different than all of them? If you got the same moves and style, ur chances of getting gigs is very competitive. If you are unique and you have very developed skills, you start rockin auditions and stealing the show. Casting directors , agents and choreographers will remember you and want u to audition for gigs, its up to you at this point to land the gigs. This leads to oppurtunity, tv shows, commercials, music videos, and tour. Ur resume and portfolio gets better the more jobs u get, and you start making important friends and contacts. Remember kids, it really is about who you know, and if u got the skills, the personality, and that extra edge...you will meet alot of people. THis then will open doors to movies, being flown out and teaching workshops etc.
so kira is right, get dope and smoke. Be urself, be known, make them remember you no matter what. Then its up to you to pursue and make shit happen.
well, im korean
and i might think about going pro....
but i live in the US
so the first US KOREAN PRO?
ahahaha
thatd be awesome
not to be a dick but there's already a US Korean Pro. BBoy Toyz of 4F and Lionz Of Zion.
and my reply to the topic is that in the US you can't really make BBoying your career. you gotta have a job on the side. my master is an OG and he's always telling me that there's more responsibilities in life, and in america you cannot live off of bboying like you can in korea or japan.
