I made this thread after seeing Balistiks' "bboying: sport or dance" thread in the general discussion forum (should be moved to word up forum imo *(cough *cough *hint Hint* lol)

What are your thoughts on this? I personally am not so quick to like this. Firstly, World, BREAKDANCE league? why not world BBOY league? seems to me its "breakdancers" rather than real BBOYS who came up with this ><

I like how events are like now, with BOTY, IBE, R16, Cyon, just to name a few (sorry i know ther eis a LOT more but im just naming ones majority know) having a league for it... hmm, it makes it seem really really formal like NBA or sumtin, i hope it doesnt become like that , cuz then basically, unless ur in the league ur not pro. >< or idk,
the shit im typing may jus be pointless bs or wutever haha, im lazy so i didnt include more points, but i jus wanted to start a discussion that ppl may be

Hmmm. Interesting concept, but the "breakdancing" title is an immediate turnoff. It also seems a bit too regulated..

there is wayy too many nasty crews out there to pick a league. and id think everyones shit would get played out if you battled on a regular basis like a league.

ehh... it's a good idea to have some sort of organization for bboys around the world, but to have a pro league is not the brightest way to go about it. i think we do need a universal judging system and we do need some sort of formal recognition. i just don't know if this would be the best way to go about it.
