How should a bboy eat in order to stay healthy? -

Yeah. I was just wonderin about that. What kind of a eating style should a bboy have in order to stay healthy? I know about carbs and proteins and all of that, but i was just wonderin whats a good way to eat.

some bboys eat a lot. some bboys eat a little. what do they have in common? they practiced hard to become bboys.
general health tips though... drink lots of water always choose water (or juice or gatorade) over soda eat a good breakfast don't snack before you go to sleep limit sugars and fats drink milk and OJ for real meat is good, i would say |

i unno i eat like 3-4 times a day....i eat fruit to give me energy after each meal. in the morning i eat eggs, bacon, fruit. lunch i eat me a sammich w/ some sort of meat or like spaghetti w/ meat. again fruit. evenin eat somethin like uhhh sammich if i didnt have 1 for lunch. n then dinner eat BIG. i eat steak a lot...pork...fuckin chompin on chicken anythin big mighty n juicy. of course i got my fruit afterwards. dont forget about vegetables tho...
yea man im always hungry...prolly cuz im always movin around. but...thas how i eat nit works for me |

seriously a lot of ppl over think this subject. to stay healthy u just eat well. and all of us know what that means. we all know whats good 4 us and whats not.
and u can tell when ur healthy or not. dont go by what the scale tells u. go by how u feel. if ur feelin good and lots of energy then keep doin what ur doing. if u feel slugish and flabby then some thing needs 2 change. for example. right now i weigh 123lbs. im usually at 115lbs. but its an extra 8lbs of muscle cus i feel great. like 3 months ago i weighed the same 123lbs instead of my 115lbs and i felt like shit. i felt extra flab and just this slushy feeling in my abs and pecs. it was cus of the way i was eating and i had 2 change. so in the end u know ur body better than a machine. |

the question "what should bboys eat to stay healthy" is an answer that can be given by "what should a person eat to stay healthy"
just follow basic guidelines to be a healthy person. - dont eat too much fatty foods. - limit ur sodium intake so your body can retain more water and you so u wont get dehydrated so quick. - replace chips and sweet snacks with fruit or something its all common sense really. just be a healthy person and ull be a healthy bboy. bboy'ing doesn't require any special diets like other sports such as running or swimming where you have to eat a lot of carbs |

Remember to eat in moderation. Don't eat only when your hungry because hunger can be caused by things other than a need for food. Try to make it 3 square meals a day with a little bit of HEALTHY snaking.
At jams remember to bring water and a healthy snack because often jams do not provide either. |

I didn't consciously change my diet when I started bboying, but GOD it's such a workout that you just NEED to snack afterwards or before..and drink like a camel (water, though). So it's not like you have to make a HUGE change to your routine (unless you're overweight or something) but I guess you'll just be able to judge for yourself when to pick an apple over a chocolate bar.
I don't think big changes to your diet are needed. But then again I have an uber fast metabolism so I wouldn't really know? Aight. |

To sum up all of these ideas, I'd say eat like an athlete. Thats what you are (or WILL BE if you're new to the dance). You need carbs for fuel. Carbs are burnt by exercise (which is what you're doing). You need h2o for hydration and to promote muscle growth and to keep them healthy in general. Thats the basics of a healthy diet. The most important part (in my openion) is not JUST what you eat, but how much you eat.
If you need help with a healthy diet, I would recommend google-search. EDIT: Muscles are made of h2o and protein (mostly h2o). Thats why h2o promotes muscle growth. |
