what makes you want to go to a jam? -
06-01-2008, 05:37 PM
this question might be more fit for the more experienced bboys
I was just wondering about how do you choose or decide to go to a jam? or what makes you want to go? for example, I'm organising a battle and I've got 2 great judges from Belgium but also a verry good bboy from holland, so would more dutch bboys be interested to come because of that? I want to go to every jam and cause belgium doesn't have like 2 jam's at the same time I don't need to choose between them. about my battle I also have a proffesional photographer that will take foto's and give them at the end of the day(he won't be around whole day) and they will be publiced on the site and stuf. I also might get like 2 or 3 tv stations to come and make reports of it. so sidequestion so would they come easier for the fame also? |

good, most of that 've got exept the experience, but I've got enough help from experienced people and my studies also teach me how to organise events so I'm good with that.

Indeed! Plus, any free stuff; if they're giving away free redbull, food, clothes, bumper stickers, CDs, etc. Then it's likely that I would be making it. Who is DJing also would make me want to go more, like if someone with the variety and skill of DP One or King Uprock is DJing, then chances are that I will be there.

I go to all of the jams I can. Whether I battle or not is the decision.
Every bboy is different. Some might be looking for the fame. But it's hard to say about the entire bboy crowd. |

What's up with only one person saying "DJ"?
That is the single most important element of any jam. It doesn't matter who your judges are, how much the prize is, or how many "famous" b-boys are there if the music is wack. |

There's usually more than one DJ at the jams here in Colorado, so one is bound to be good. I have had bad DJ's before and I agree with AlphaTrion, it does piss me off more than anything when they start playing poppin beats or something non-related. But I still find it worth it to go, meet new people, and catch up with the bboys and bgirls I already know.
