Yo anyone ever get frustrated like hell when you're practicing new shit and you just can't seem to get it?


i've recently dedicated the next couple months to increasing and mastering my power cuz i for the longest i've always just been a footwork/freeze type bboy.


so anyway im getting new power and shit but sometimes it seems like i just can't get the shit the way I want it. i be like WTF!!!!!!!!

anybody ever go through something similar?

I'm a pretty mellow guy. So I don't think I ever get frustrated.

I just pause and think what I'm doing wrong and how I can fix it.

Getting frustrated is unproductive lol.

I'm trying to create a personal training method for learning power. All power.

i go through that a lot, especially with power. i want all my stuff to be clean, but it takes a long time for me to master it. because my right leg is shorter than my left, i use it less, and it is harder to control. so i get frustrated, but i just pause and think about it.

dang man, i wish i was like that lol. and yea you're right about getting frustrated being unproductive. I'm going to try to be more chill next time i train power.

hahaha yea im the same way, i want everything to be clean and smooth. but dang i didn't know that about your leg, one of my arms is shorter than the other LOL.

I am going to try to be like you guys and just stop and think.

but sometimes u can funnel ur frustration like," dammit legs! SWING FASTER!!" -leg swings faster- Yay . Ive been practicing my 1990s and flares lately (3/4 rotaion on 90s n not even 1/2 on flares so yeah----> very frustrated) [refer to my avatar to see how frustrated I get sometimes...

LOL yea good point on that, but sometimes i put so much force that i hurt myself sometimes. im with you on the 90's and flares, i can't get past 1-2 rotations on 90s and i can't get past one flare, so believe me im with you on that bro.

buituyenjr , when you know you're so close to a move and you feel like you're doing everything right, it's easy to get frustrated.

I used to be into competitive weight lifting, it was easy to achieve goals cuz all i had to do was lift harder and stronger.

bboying, totally different, bboying is all about technique and thinking things through before actually taking action.

i agree with the funneling your anger thing...

when i do headspins, my tendency is to drop my right leg, so it throws my balance off... one time i kept doing it over and over again so i threw my helmet down, took like 2 or 3 minutes to walk around a bit, and i had a good headspin after that without my leg dropping down lol

lol, anger and alcoholism will get you in jail.
airtracks are my major frustration. I'm trying to get em cleaner. Everytime i do it, i do everything right except for one little detail. I correct that detail, i forget about something else. it gets irritating, but it helps you to get used to the elements that will contribute to the sexiest looking moves that you can do. cameras are the best thing for thinking things through.
