im reading so many comments saying shit like, noone has an excuse to fail at bboying, or if this guy can do it anyone can do it.

Honestly, if you think about it, having one leg is one of the BETTER disabilities a bboy can have. Yeah it makes it difficult to do alot of things and no doubt its harder then someone who has both their feet, but it does make certain moves easier to acheive. I.E planches and muscle moves, which is why guys with one or no legs usually focus on the same type of bboy moves.

How about a 90 year old bboy or a bboy with a broken back or one with one or no ARMS?i really dont see those bboys getting far, no matter how hard they tried.
OR what about a bboy who has no suport from anyone? A bboy with one leg would get quite alot of suport from other bboys and suport helps someone get better so much easier, i reckon having one leg and taking up bboying you'd get more suport from bboys then if you had no disability. Yeah i bet half you guys are thinking "well noone suported me." So many of you may or may not have had approval from your parents, but you're friends probably did.
Think about the guys/girls out there who have the potential tobecome the best bboys/bgirls in the world (or even the best at anything if they set their mind to it), but never even take it up because noone had ever told them they can get so far and they have so much potential.

Now i have respect for those bboys with the one or no feet, but i wouldnt respect them anymore then i do a normal bboy. Because who's to say this disabled bboy had a harder time then all these other bboys with legs? who's to say these bboys that appear to be completly fine dont have an inner injury that noone sees, or maybe they just dont get the suport so many others do and take for granted. Or maybe they grew up in a place where there arnt any bboys and they just taught themselves from nothing. It's easy to get good at something when so many other people around you are doing the same thing. it's easier to get good if you have a crew, it's easier to get good if you have friends that suport you, it's easier to get good if you live in an area where there are many bboys, it's easier to get good if you have the money to afford lessons or a place to train rather then on the street, and it's easier to get good if you have all your limbs. Missing a leg is only one thing out of many other things. Everyone deals with obstacles to acheive their dreams, some more then others, missing his foot is just one obstacle that bboy had to get past.

I better finish this cause it's getting long and guys wont want to read.
I'm just saying you cant tell someone unless you know the whole story of their life, and noone knows that except that person themselves.
So you should give just as much respect to everyone, because you have no idea who has the real potential as so many never even get the chance.
I don't feel sorry for the guy in the video at all, I'm happy for that guy in that video because he's had the chance to get to where he is.

The bboys that i respect the most are the ones that get far on their own, with no suport or help, the ones that came from nothing and found something in themselves that noone else saw, those are the guys you should be looking up to the most. Unfortunantly the only people who knows that are the people themselves, so all they can do is respect themselves for acheiving so much despite the difficulties they had that i think so many people take for granted.

BTW: yes he's a french bboy, not korean

phlip of BOCA crew was a champion gymnast, he was going to be in the olympics.
then he had 'the accident' as ppl tend to call it, and lost all of his gymnastic as well as his bboy capabilities.

hes in his early 30s now and still throws down (even when hes not supposed to). his musicality is dope and has the illest headspins ive ever seen. i sesh w/ him from time to time and had the honor of battling him.

becoming a bboy has nothing to do with how hard to push yourself or how many disabilities you overcome. dont think that anyone on this forum can define what a bboy is to anyone else. its something youve got to experience yourself. you dont live hiphop, hiphop lives in you and its that love for hiphop you have that causes you to start topping when a beat clicks on in the speakers or in your head.

Lots of talking n stuff in the vid, but there's some oldschool footage of him:

He only has 1 knee. He had an accident and a surgery was needed. I think they removed his kneecap.

ummmmmm............ don't wanna argue mr. monolouge but aren't YOU the one telling us not to judge someone's life? then why are you saying stuff about us that we never said? for one, i started this to show that anybody can bboy if they work hard. second, i never read anyone's comment saying "oh, i feel SOOO sorry for this guy!" third, i'm not saying that "oh: this french bboy is my IDOL out of IDOLS cuz he don't got a leg!" so why are you making it sound like i said that?

fourth, if you didn't have a leg and couldn't do what "normal" people have done all their lives, would you even dare to do all those crazy stuff bboys do when you can't even walk by yourself?
i mean, to be honest, i never even thought of becomng a bboy back a couple years ago when i saw a documentary of korean bboys on tv cuz i was a twelve year old asian-overweight-nerd. i was still like that when i stated bboying and i started because i KNEW being those things can be changed. NOT HAVING A LEG CAN'T.

fifth, i don't really think people will care about you having equal respect to this guy cuz mentally i know everyone feels some inspiration.

sixth, i'm not even gonna say it.

you got some good points too like don't judge someone's life. but dont make it sound like everyone that saw this vid LOVES and MADLY RESPECTS him

if u spend too much time thinking about something, you'll never get it done. But if you act without thinking, you'll get hurt~!

- concept from Bruce Lee's quote (the Chinese martial artist, not Korean airflare master)
