12 step in two days - 05-17-2008, 01:38 PM

Possible or not? I have a battle on Monday and I just realized that a 12 step would look great in my sets.

learn it in 4 seconds:
under, over, over, under
or if you prefer
over, under, under, over

then practice it for 4 minutes.

congrats, you learned 12 step.

No, that's pretty much the gist of it. There isn't much to it, just move one leg over the other, then the other leg under that one, and keep alternating while going around in a circle. The most important thing to remember is to twist your hips while you're doing it and keep them low, to make it look cleaner. Go check a guide or two, you can probably learn it in under 5 minutes and clean it up in under 30.

That one thing that bboys do when the twist there hips in the middle of a six step, that is just impossible for me. I don't get it. Is that move essential for a 12 step?

Dude, I think you might be thinking too hard about this. Relax and just try the step out, especially if you've got a battle on Monday. Go practise!

Lol you fell on ur ass doing a 12 step? o.O

After realizing that i over-use the 12 step in my sets, I conclude that the move is real easy to learn. You can get it in like 5 mins if you put your mind to it.

Note that getting a *really good* twelve-step takes time. There's a difference between a twelve-step and a super fly swivelly twelve step.

I'll remember that thanks. I already know it takes a long time to master a single move.

12 step is simple. in my opinion i dont think you sould do the full 360. i only do like 1/4 of the 12 step and go into another step like the six or something. i dunno if that makes sense

12 step? it is easy to learn the technique. But to make it look wriggly like a snake and to do it to and fro, through and under, etc it takes some time. But 2 days will be just fine. Go practice and show us the video bro. Krispy, no one sucks in bboying!!
