calf muscle pull? - 05-11-2008, 04:17 PM

anyone ever got these? how long did it take you to fully recover? ive had it for 5 months.. i rest for like a month then when the pain is gone and i get back to practicing, it comes back in a coupla days.. its kept on happening, i even had the muscle ultrasounded and the doc said it was fine and just a strain..maybe im just not giving it enough time to recover?
help would be appreciated, i dont wanna fuck it up forever then go around walking into sessions like bboy junior

1 Month (depends on how severe though), be sure to stretch (but dont overstretch!!!), be sure to warm up BEFORE stretching (and you probably want to stretch after a day of practice too), make sure you drink lots of water to keep yourself hydrated
take it easy, and if you start to feel pain while practicing - you should probably stop doing calf related moves for the day

calf muscle pull??? is that possible??!?!?? i pulled my muscle between my lower and upper leg before but not my calf,

^its possible, but the calf is the hardest muscle to pull because it is the strongest out of all muscles.. i never do anything complex to pull it, everytime ive pulled it its been from footwork.. id be drilling like the 2 step and then outta nowhere the pain is back
