no, it does not fall into the bboy category. that's where you're wrong. it's a different dance. it's a newer dance. i remember seeing footage of when bboying was a new dance... and I'm talking about the 80s. that means it had been around for over 10 years already, but when you watch the bboys in Beat Street (crazy legs, ken swift, all them dope cats) they're doing good shit, but it looks like they are inexperienced and new, but that's just because the DANCE was new. it's dope now. back then, that shit was dope too for the people doing it. but the dance evolves and gets better.
