Bboying in the future.... - 05-09-2008, 06:10 PM

YEAH I am a newb or w/e word u online geeks or nerds use... but even I ponder my thoughts outside my brain on certain days and I have thought long and hard about Bboying in the future and come to a threatening and scary conclusion with the very simple philosophical question of....: will it be "there" in the future? (LMAO, ok not 2 philosophical but hey....)

Let's all admit that Bboying is like everything else in life (maybe not religion that is forever eternal) it has a beginning.... and sadly it may have an end---- this goes for the whole of the "hip-hop" culture so please respond to me with ur thoughts whoever u are and wherever u are....

PEACE

Its not about being better than ur opponent... its about being better than ur previous self "Once u have achieved this then u will be able 2 defeat anybody no matter who they are!"

KRS1:
KRS1 20 years I rock I do it for JMJ and Scott LaRock – this hip hopAnd we’s a nation, don’t you want to hear more KRS on your radio station? Instead of broadcasting how we smokin’ trees, on the radio we need to hear more local MC’s. Where you at? Come on where you at? This is the difference between MC’ing and rap Rappers spit rhymes that are mostly illegal, MC’s spit rhymes to uplift they people Peace, love, unity, and Havin’ fun, these are the lyrics of KRS1

HAHA---- Touchez but still... excuse my skepticism but in the past religions have also fallen with civilizations and is it me or has graffiti lost a lot of soul.... to me it seems that we may have to wait a 100 maybe possible hundreds of years before bboying ends but either way... WILL IT END? OR is this the beginning of the END?

I have heard of the rise and fall of possily the greatest civilizations/"things" the world has had to offer e.g. The Romans, The Ancient Greeks, The great Hip-Hop dynasty of the '80s lol but all of these examples had the same thing in common... They were great and were expected to last a hell of a lot longer than they did lol

Let's not worry about it. HipHop is eternal and will always be eternal.
The only time it ended was in the media where all that wack shit got played out. Do I worry about bboying ending? No because it will remain underground.

very awsome question. bboy has been around 4 a long ass time so i dont think it will die any time soon. but sadly every thing DOES eventually die.

but lets think about this. do u realize what has 2 happen 4 hip hop 2 completely die?? that means every b-boy, MC, DJ, and writer have 2 suddenly die. so i think we'll b around 4 a while

Yeah but unfortunately with censorship and the realization that true hip-hop is atually found in the underground scene then I think it may take less time than we imagined.... its sad to think about how DJs, Bboys and MCs are portayed in mainstream media cause it really pathetic i.e. thug and gangsta hip-hop, powerheads and turntablists (all they do is scratch in most of the movies I've seen instead of making original beats)---- the ONLY part of hip-hop that has not been destroyed by the media is graffiti and I believe it should stay that way

Look at it this way, they said rap was just a "phase". That it would soon die out. 20 summ years later its still here... So will bboying. It grew then faded, and now is growing again, But its a very slim chance it'll disappear.

spell ihop then say ness

BBoying won't die. Too many people have this passion to keep it alive. They'll be passing it on.
