Reviews of Planet Bboy -
04-14-2008, 03:10 AM
So ive been reading through some reviews of Planet Bboy on the web, and most of them have pretty positive things to say about the dancers, but comment on the documentary side as being mediocre and very generalized. I would say that one of the best reviews was this one:
Boxoffice > The Business of Movies > Movie Reviews She took time to understand the movie and the bboys, and appreciated the dedication to an artform, but made good points about how the "the only audience out there that “gets it” is the audience that “got it” before the reel started rolling. If you’re not a fan, this one won’t change that." The opposite of that is this review by some elitist shithead. PLANET B-BOY - New York Post |

Dude screw that elitist. Yeah I agree with the last lines of the first review. :] Wasn't the prize $300,000 or did I hear wrong in the movie?

Nah, we just need to ruin the rest of his living life by burning every book he publishes from now on, and break around the burning heap as a celebration.
He'll be sorry he ever insulted us, the BBoy's! |

Someone else commented on Rotten Tomatoes about this guys review and was talking about how the guy worships the ground that Barry Manilow walks on This guy seems like the person who sits at home knitting clothes for his cat while watching will and grace |

Lets face it BBoy World was a bboy documentary made for bboys, the ignorant masses cannot possibly fathom what we do because they are truly an ignorant mass. Let them sit and wallow in their ignorance, I'm gonna be dancing and having a blast.
I can't explain how inspired I felt at the end of that movie, I want to train harder, I want to dance more freely, and I know now that I'm on the right path and that I want to keep doing what I do because I love it so much. |

You can't call yourself a bboy until break dancing is more than a hobby to you.

Review: The Hipster Movie of the Year: “Juno” | KyleSmithOnline.com
there is another review from that flaming douche about "Juno" which was also a sweet ass film. He states "I don't know many 16 year olds but"...but you molest plenty of 12 year olds. The guy just hates on movies that are sweet cause he is fat and lonely and wants everyone else to experience or listen to his misery. Look at his picture, what a joke. On a side note Planet B-boy was tight as hell...I brought 6 friends who don't Bboy and they loved it as well. Kyle Smith can choke on a d*ck...that's if he doesn't try to swallow it whole. |
