It was 'rigged' and caused all these people to follow a 'trend' and maybe think that it's what everyone's doing.

Your style is your style.

Imma learn it first, then see if I can mix it in with toprock, haha. Seems challenging, which is always fun.

They probably respect footwork and toprock as much as most the bboys on this site do but the audience and consumers of these shows are not bboys, fuck, neither are the judges, ie. what the fuck does lil mama know
The dancers probably do power and tricks cuz they understand who the general audience is and they know they dont want to see you on your ffeet, shit they want to see you flip spin and roll.

---these are just my opinions btw. dont see it as fact---

there is power, but for most complex style, originality, attitude, etc seems to be more of a focus. but i wont be suprised if they do much more tricks and power to get the audience

Well you got to realize everyone is watching for those kind of power moves that the average person can't do. So it's envy. The whole reason why people watch those shows. Having style, well to me (this is my thought) is better for like group or 1v1 battles. It's more of going against someone else and seeing who has the better moves and practice. But jabbawockeez is a dance team, not a bboy crew. Yes they have bboys on their team, but doesn't mean they have to put it into their routine. And to do footwork, toprock, and freezes, everyone needs to know how to do it because their a team, it's not a solo and look at that one guy who is better than everyone else. You have to think about how you perform you show and make the best of it and absorb the crowd into your dance and hold them there.

I hope this helped.

OMG its no hands Nike freeze!
