Does bboy.org have nothing else better to talk about? - 03-10-2008, 08:58 AM

It seems that everyday a new topic is made. But it seems everyday that topic has been discussed previously one too many times. How good do you have to be to be called a bboy? How come people hate mike garcia? why does Junior Limp? Whos the best bboy?

Has bboy.org really become dead in the bboy scene that no one knows what else to talk about bboy related? or do we have too many sections that no one else knows what to post in the word-up?

chill, bro. it's a cycle. yes, you've been around these boards since 05. maybe earlier. but bboy.org is a melting pot of beginners from all over the world, and they all just want to learn more about this godly dance and culture. and if you know the dance and the culture very well, you'd know that there is a LOT to it, and it's more than meets the eye. so naturally, a lot of questions are gonna come up, some more frequently than others.

yo if i was a beginner to this shit and i could barely handstand, and i saw that junior video, i'd be flippin! it's nuts.

if you feel like you don't know much, understand that there's a lot to know, and keep trying to find answers.
and if you feel like you know a decent amount, understand that there are others who don't.

i've been around long enough to see bboys on this site start, improve, evolve, and sometimes move on, which is dope. and honestly, the level of bboys on this site has been improving because the old heads are sticking around and trying to guide the new heads on the right path. it's a good thing, bro!

Couldn't have said it better. Think of it like the fashion industry... Bell-bottom jeans were huge in the 60's, suddenly the late 90's, early 2000's they came back again. Everyone should have the equal opportunity to experience it all.

If you're worried about poeple opening new threads about topics that have been talked about, time and time again... Then ignore them, and focus on ideas that have never been discussed.

dont get me wrong bro, im not bashing on people for asking the same questions over and over again. i understand that people are just trying to learn because they are new. I'm just clearly asking, do we have nothing else to talk about? im not blaming new comers for starting new threads that are old discussions. but im blaming old members for not making new topics to start new discussions. you know what im saying?

Seeing that your join date was in 05' that makes you somewhat of a bboy.org senior... So aren't you sort of pointing the finger in your direction? lol JK. It is true though, there is only so much you can discuss about bboying. However, the general discussion board opens all kinds of door for hot new topics.

ive actually been here longer than 05, ive been coming here since it was known as breakdance.com

yes i admit i havent been making new topics either. but thats why i was thinking. do we have too many sections? could we do fine without a youtube section? considering the fact that people post youtube videos in the word-up anyways. or the bboy news section. isnt that bboying related topic? and isnt that what the wordup is for?

I definitely agree with the fact that there are too many subcategories. Epecially the news and youtube forum. I'm not sure why they even have a bgirling forum because regardless of gender it's dancing all the same. However, I'm not sure how removing these categories would infulence the topics in this forum.

Hey to all those who've been on this site for awhile I wanna say that I enjoy bboy.org so much beacuse there are not many bboys where I live which is in sharon Hill so I consider everyone one here as my little group or posse if you look at my crew name it's bboy.org because im learning so much form the vid forums and beginner forums. Even though my rapping sucks I still post in the freestyle session forum and every other one. Bboy.org is my place of Zen as some say rather old comments, post or threads bboy.org is where to go for all your bboying needs_peace

i like the fact the bboy.org is like a social community of friends. you can actually make threads like "2 Bboy from this forum repped at bboy unit 8 europe" and get some real feedback. can't do that shit on bboyworld.
