He had good intentions, granted. But he mixes up names of moves which leads to misinformation to those who watch it and actually wanna learn from it. Besides, he is a pretty garbage teacher. And if you are accusing him of making money off bboying, you're also penalizing tane, the owner of bboy.org, who sells, not give those bboy.org dvds away.

i was confused with this when i first started, because his videos actually helped me out, but now it's a lot clearer to me.

you see, mike garcia isn't a bboy. he's barely involved in the scene and has no right to represent it like that. what battles have you seen him in? any cypher footage? exactly. he's just a tool who learned some breaking moves, and, with good ol' american capitalist sense, decided to make some money off of it. he has no status or recognition in the bboy community outside of his instructional videos. no street cred, no nothing.

learn from his videos if you want, but you'll be better off going to real jams and doing actual bboy shit.

note: i'm sure he must have at least attended a jam and cyphered at some point, but i haven't seen him rep. who knows, maybe he's being reinventing his shit underground and is ready to blow up by surprise. unlikely shit but i wouldn't mind a shot at him in the cyphers.
