no. this is a bboy forum. I don't really care
but some people come here to see bboying or learn something about it. if you wanna stand up dance best to do it on another forum. Peace |

plus that doesnt really work cause each dance has specific styles, steps, and moves of their own and how do you compare one to the other without biased opinion

the idea of one dance form battling another is absurd

Its not as absurd as you think...it happens in clubs all da time. Battling is a universal skill, no matter what dance your doin...so the best battler, cleanest dancer, etc...would win the battle. Its not THAT complicated in say...a club setting. If ur talkin a sanctioned judged battle, wit official jduges...then its a lot harder. But even still, u culd have a judge of each specific dance style, and a third overall judge (to judge dancin in general, such as cleanliness). Yea..there will probably be some bias...but if each judge had a score sheet then the third one culd break any ridiculous bias...assuming he/she was unbiased. Its really difficult...but i dont find it impossible or the least bit absurd. Just hafta think outside the box.

battling in a club is wack. that's like having 1st graders watch a political debate. they're not gonna know shit. it IS a form of battling, and i can respect that, but it's not exactly up to standard with something like a real bboy battle.
i can say a lot about competition battles too, but that's another topic. i'm just not fond of the competitions because as soon as you introduce the idea of judges, you're limiting yourself. |

Yea i kno watcha mean VP....crowds in the club are pretty retarded lol. Essentially you don't hafta kno how to dance...jus do a bunch of retarded burns n' everyone is like OHHHHH!! Hmm idk, there's no way you can have a multi-style battle on the same level as a bboy or poppin battle, but I think its fun anyway. Its a great thang to do for battle experience in my opinion, just because u learn to respond to sumthin that ur totally not familiar wit. And ya gotta rely more on ur abilities as a battler rather than a bboy, so i think it helps a bit. If anythang i think its hella fun servin a wack krumper in a club.....makes my 15-20 bucks worth it haha

Cleanliness is universal...u can tell when someone is lookin kinda sloppy, as long as u have seen both dances in actions. U can tell a clean krumper from a sloppy one, fuck jus look on youtube. Yes it DOES work...not in a professional judged battle but in a relaxed settin it works fine. Wut the hell are u gonna do when someone challenges you to a battle.... "No thanks you don't bboy so it can't work". Fuck that. There's no need to be all close minded about it. The concept is simple, move the crowd the most n' embarrass ya opponent the most. Anybody can do dat wit their own personal dance style. Its not really a comparison between the dance styles but the battlers themselves.
