Google and bboy.org video is still in the works. Since there is no easy way to get photo, i have to design general graphics for everything... and it's taking me awhile.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHETHER A BOILER BREAKERS BOX SHOWS UP IN YOUR PROFILE! PEOPLE USED TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH IT NOT SHOWING UP, AND I WANT TO MAKE SURE IT'S WORKING AGAIN.

I haven't had much time to work on this until yesterday, and it looks like it's pretty much close to being an official facebook-released application... hopefully after the next update. So stay tuned, and keep throwing out ideas please!

Alright, so I've had this small project in the making for about 2 months now. It's been tough for me to find time to work on it between tests, class, the girl and breakin. But I've stuck to it and last night I think I've gotten a good beta version down so far. For those of you who don't know what I mean by beta, it means the application is still in it's testing/improving/debugging stage.

I'm looking for a couple people to install the application and test it for errors, tell me what they like, what they don't like... basically how to improve it. Here's some background info:

It basically started off as a way for our club members to advertise events on our profiles, but since then I've expanded it to include a bboy video network.

The application has 2 versions: registered and unregistered. My overall goal here at Purdue and in this club is to try to provide a community and a great source of information for bboys in the Midwest scene and raise awareness of bboying and true hip hop throughout the West Lafayette (Purdue) area. If you are a registered user at our Club Website, you get additional benefits (currently) such as 4 extra video slots and the ability to add your own videos to the Network. I know it takes a minute to register, but it helps the club and myself out by providing a larger community (even if you never even go to the site ever again). It seriously only takes a minute and i'd strongly encourage any Midwest bboy to join. I'm not trying to take anything away from bboy.org, believe me. I absolutely love the community here, but our site is more tailored for the Midwest scene rather than the world and provides much more info in that respect. Ok, im done rambling.

Here's how it's working right now:
Unregistered Version:
Each Facebook user gets one "Favorite Video Slot." They can choose from a list of current bboy videos and choose it to add to their profile. From there, they can add a description to the video that is displayed underneath it in their profile.

Registered Version:
Each Facebook user gets 5 "Favorite Video Slots." They can choose from a list of current bboy videos or add their own video to the network. From there they can choose which of their favorites to add to their profile and they have the option to change each description to appear under their video when it is set to their profile.

Current Supported Video Formats: YouTube (since that's what 90% of people use)... multiple part videos, Google, Bboy.org and BboyTube formats coming soon.

maybe just a larger playlist

or instead of it only playing one video, have it like the bboy.org video thing on the front page, where once its done with one video, it automatically goes to another

a search function

and possibly a limit on how many videos one person can post to keep it from getting cluttered with videos
like you only get 10, and once you get 10 uploaded,if you want to put another one up, you have to delete a video to make room

other then that it looks cool and works great

Thanks for the thoughts. I've got a search function already but im just working out the last few kinks before I throw it up there.

Edit:
1. I can't make videos play automatically (due to the facebook language limitations), but I can work on having videos play back to back. What i'm working on right now is a drop-down menu where you can choose which video to jump to.

2. It wouldn't make much sense to only allow people to add 10 videos and then have to remove them to add more. Reason being, if you already have one of the 10 videos in your favorites, and then someone removes it, they can't play it any more... which would probably frustrate people.

Can you access the description the second time or third time around because I messed up once then I couldn't find the edit description and maybe even for title too, so I had to go back.
