My air babies bite yarbles. -

I have a style that uses a lot of freezes/stalls. I'm really good at learning stalls right away, and am getting good at balancing my stalls on one hand. I can get freezes that my teacher couldn't learn for months, theres one I can do that he still can't. I have never been able to do air babies though. I practice them all the time. I can't at all get one handed, and rarely even get it with both hands.
My problem is that my knee always slips. My teacher thinks I got the right idea, and I'm experienced enough with stalls, but that my problem may be my connective tissue disorder.
My skin is very stretchy and when I do the air baby my skin slides and my knee falls. He suggested getting athletes tape. I'm wondering though, I know some people say padding is cheating, but whats the stance on tape. We think if I use tape it will keep everything in place.
Should I use tape or is there something else I can try. I am pushing enough, he told me everything looks fine. My only thing thats not right is how high I start, but I have to cause it makes my skin slide less and actually helps.
Sorry for this being so lengthy, but I'm just trying to provide as much detail as I can, to help with any advice.
