Signature Quotes now Banned -

In an effort to reduce "signature spam" and clean up the forums, we are introducing new rules on your signature size.
Quotes are now banned. This means no more BBCode Quote tags. You are now allowed a maximum of 500 characters and 10 lines in your signature. This rule will be enforced on your next signature update, but we ask that you help us out and reduce your signature size now if you have a long ass signature. I will be dropping the quotes manually from signatures that I notice are way too long. Let's clean up Bboy.org. Tane |

if your setting a maximum limit there doesnt seem like any point to removing quotes, unless they don't count as characters or something :S
seems rather odd to me :S can someone clarify that for me? |

I remember it was 500 words INCLUDING BBC code. But it does enlarge the thing a lot.

sweet ! nice move, no long ass sigs now.. great to see u trying your best to clean up bboy.org, ill help as much as i can.. @ PopTrunk : lots of people had long ass sigs with quotes, list moves/pics and all kinds of weird unnecessary stuff.. |

and if you make it so there can only be ten lines there is no need to remove quotes from sigs because the sig can't be long. it's a good idea to shorten them but there's no real need to remove quotes thats my view on it all phoenix |

I had sent a message to Tane concerning the signatures. I stated that the limit of 250 characters was too small of an amount and that BBC shouldn't be included in the characters because it takes up alot of the character amount. So he messaged me back with the same notification written above. I believe that the signature is getting better and that it will aid in cutting down spam. I mean this is what we all wanted less spam, so work with Tane, and continue the revolution! =P

Hmm... Luckily my quote is tiny.... I don't want to get rid of it because now I can never have another one.... guess SuAZN is stuck in my sig forever (or until tane just decides to remove all quotes from sigs regardless of length, lol).
