WHAT'S THIS WHOLE RESPECT THING ABOUT?

We've introduced the "respect" system as an alternative way of recognizing members who contribute to Bboy.org. This is meant as an alternative to just focusing the post count. Too much focus on post count can lead to spam.

Respect is earned when other members give you respect by clicking on the green "respect" button below your avatar. So if you you’re making a positive contribution to Bboy.org you will be recognized by other members and earn respect. You don’t need to make thousands of posts to be recognized.

I am still fine tuning some of the details of the system, but basically the amount of respect you get depends on the “Respect Power” of the member who gave it to you and there is a limit to the number of members you can give respect to each day.

The respect rating will take a bit of time to settle in. Because it’s new, you might find some members who deserve more respect but don't have a high rating (...like, *cough* , me ...). This will work itself out once people get the hang of the system and more "respect" votes are made. So don't panic if you've only got 1 point.

how do u find out who sent u the respect??? or is this some kinda secret santa kinda thing?

You can't find out who gave you respect. We want to avoid the whole "I give you respect if you give me respect thing."

There's a button at the bottom left corner of a post (under your location) that says "Respect" now.
