The Flare

I've only been with the B-boy scene for about a month now. It took me a week of painful non-stop practicing, sweating, stretching, and a rather sizeable collection of bruises, but after a week of trying I managed to do 1 Flare! .. Tomorrow I'm gonna start trying to do a Flare to Mill.

I don't have a cam-corder, so all I got is a crappy picture :/

LOL try getting one move down at a time.

master the Windmill, then Flares, and then you can combine them, or Vice Versa.

Congrats, I cant do 1 flare yet and I've been trying for months, but Im sure I didnt train nearly as hard as you did. make sure you give your body a break so it doesnt break (get me?). Well, keep training, and once again, Congrats and God Bless.

Don't worry about it, getting 1 flare usually don't take very long. Getting continuous mills will usually take most people 2 months.

Getting continuous flares is a different story though.......It's taken people anywhere from 3 months to 3 years to get continuous flares.

i think its going to be pretty tough to flare mill without knowing how to mill. my experience was learning mills and then doing flares and after being able to a few crappy flares i was able to flare mill. i recommend you learn handglide first than mill than flare. crickets/jacks, etc. you can learn anytime

i wish i could do head spins -B-BoyKT

Left leg swings/keeps your hips off the ground. If this leg bends or collapses in any way, you will drop like teh rock in eh pond. - br8kness

yeah, it's definitely tough :/.. and when I got my legs all the way back around, I tried repeating the flare when my legs were still in motion and I couldn't do it, so yeah I'll definitely be practicing it.

And to reply to an earlier poster, yeah I worked my ass off (0.o).. I spent every hour of every day attempting it, and it apparently paid off
