Can you copyright a crew name? I know that there are a lot of people that will end up having the same crew name, but not know about it. I was wondering if there is a way to copyright a name or something, that way some other biters dont jack the name of a crew.

Short answer is no. To copyright a name requires proof that you have the right to legally control it and need that name protected. So basically you need to be a corporation. Also I believe its a 5 year process.

I think metheores is right though. If you ever find a duplicate crew battle them for the name.

If Paris Hilton attempted to copyright a phrase: That's Hot!. I believe you could attempt to copyright your crew.

Obviously not worth it, unless you and Paris Hilton are on the same intellectual level.

If you are signed by some company you are likely to have your name covered Copyrighted. In other words you cannot enter the Red Bull BC one being called Cico also. The rocksteady crew is most liekly copyrighted including crazy legs and so on because of the contract with Red Bull BC.

yah... we looked up our crew name on youtube and google
found out that they had another crew with the same name but they not even in our country we think so its good

I have a question, what about copying names off shows/video games/movies etc. like Mortal Combat Crew and Pokemon crew etc. I didn't even know you could do that???!?!?!
