Only time you shake hands in a battle is if you follow it up by doing an airhcair whilst you're shaking hands with them or doing a flare etc.
That being said, when Baek and Zero 9 were battling they were VERY friendly which was nice to see. Although in retrospect the battle atmosphere was far from hype because of that, nothing wrong with a bit of play animosity or enmity on the floor as long as you don't take it too far, after all a battle is almost theatrical and very entertaining if their's real will for both to win and a real desire to absolutely clown the other by both participants. the other thing is that there wasn't much energy in the whole thing. the crowd was sitting down just watching. the first guy looked bored and when he was done he just kinda got up and left. and i didn't see any freezes. i'd say if you're not that good, at least try to end with a spin and one of those old skool bboy poses.
