Not Only Born.. But Machine 2..
Biting Happens a Hell Of A Lot.. One Friend Of Mine Has Absolutely Not A single Move Of His Own.. All His Moves Are Bitten.. And His Style Is Just A Mix Of The Bboys He Sees On Youtube |

born gets called a biter too, you know. when it comes down to the stuff he does it gets really blurry at times. most of the time it's not the move itself, but how you do the move. most of the moves themselves are foundational, there's no "biting", but a lot of the more rare techs come from that old school style that some people will call bite and some people will not, depending on how much knowledge they have on that move.

Crazy legs told me today that biting is a good thing as long as you add your own personality and flavour into it. In other words dont do the exact same thing but take ideas from it that you can add to your arsenal of moves.

It takes an athlete to breakdance, but an artist to bboy.

biting is part of bboying. i'll use an example someone else posted before about biting.
suppose someone started to do what we now know as 6-step. then somone did what we now know as a 3-step. if no one bit each other, then they'd only have stuff they invented. but if people bite then you can get different combos and what not. i second what zeshen said above. it's not what you do, it's how you do it. |

lol it's ironic that leggs said that, considering he bit his best shit from kenny and everyone knows the guy is a clown in comparison to Ken Swift.

You have to have some original moves to get bitten. Same goes with Machine. 6step swipe flip is basic shit people!
Spy - invented 6steps, swipes, chair freeze, latin style toprock... so basically 100% of bboys bite this guy. Storm and Megas started a lot of trends as well. One that isn't mentioned much is Gizmo from BTX, started a hella lot of shit like deadlegs and certrain threads. Everyone thinks Crumbs and Remind are like the most original guys around but I heard when Gizmo went to Cali people asked him if he taught them. Also what the hell did Legs take from Kenny? |

biting is ok, as long as u make it ur own style and incorporate it in ur own way, is biting if u bite a WHOLE combo- but a rather a single thing that u can make a unique combo with it (including the freeze) is not biting but rather making it ur own style- people these days are like pussies with biting "oh my god he totally bit my six step" (exaggeration) but really, u don't know who did it first so deal the fuck with it and just keep on doing ur thing
