without a doubt, you're doing it wrong
Ok going with right arm power arm here: get into genuflect position, kneeling on right knee. Put right elbow a bit above your hip bone and left elbow into the side of your left knee. Lean over to your right side until both hands are touching the ground, facing away from each other. Keeping your right leg on the ground and the weight of your left leg on your left elbow, place your head on the ground. Now lift your right leg off the ground keeping most of your weight on your right arm and the weight of your left leg on your left arm and a bit of weight on your head. Now you should be in the baby freeze position with 1 leg on the unstabbed arm. Then you can go for baby freeze with no legs on arms or both legs on one arm. |

i dont think you need that much strength just keep practicing it even if it feels kinda uncomfortable at first and by practicing you will gain the required muscle if at all needed to do the baby freeze

I've definetely got little to no strength in the arm department, odds are you lack wrist endurance, or balance. Most bboying moves rely more on balance/technique/momentum than actual bodystrength.
Exactly what part of the freeze is failing? How is your footwork? Can you six-step? What other moves have you tried? These are all useful answers. |

Its about technique. I've seen people get it their first attempt. Study a picture of a baby freeze carefully and then execute.
I still don't know why people are c-walking when they aren't Crips......frustrating Glad you switched over to a real dance |

Hey thanks for the help, yeah I wasn't doing the baby freeze exactly right, but still I don't really have the strentgh to maintain it..
Im bout 5'8 140 lbs, I can hold the freeze for bout 15 secs on a good one, so I guess I jus gotta keep practicin until I get better |

Damn right, just keep at it and eventually you'll get there. Good to hear you've somewhat gotten it now.

Hip thing, everyone is different... but you should be able to stab in like the general area above your hip... Just do what feels comfortable.
And i don't get how your right knee is in the way... they're not supposed to be tucked up if you're only putting your left knee on it... Scissor your right knee back. |
