Do you support money or do you support community?
Pepsi or principle? Payola or passion?

We cannot live for ourselves alone. Our lives are connected by a thousand invisible threads, and along these sympathetic fibers, our actions run as causes and return to us as results. Thou shalt not be a victim. Thou shalt not be a perpetrator. Above all, thou shalt not be a bystander.

Speech is conveniently located midway between thought and action, where it often substitutes for both. "Do-so" is more important than "say-so." You cannot make yourself feel something you do not feel, but you can make yourself do right in spite of your feelings. Consciously or unconsciously we all strive to make the kind of a world we like.

you can't draw dichotomies between "money and community? Pepsi or principle? Payola or passion?". I'm sure everyone likes all of those things and this doesn't amount to any self-contradiction. Maybe you need money to enrich a community, maybe you believe in Pepsi's principles and maybe you need a bit of payola to realize your passion.

I think that both are important but I'm not sure which is more vital.

Whats wrong with money? What else am I going to buy my Burberry with? lol j/k

I can understand your point though. I see these car commericals and others with bboys doing windwills and flares (the moves people expect to see) in the background and it's like ... blah. At the same time I think that the commericalization and mainstream media that is "using" bboys/bgirls to sell products could be good in a way. Too alot of people seeing it on tv is the only time they have ever seen it and could be influenced by a quick cut of someone bboying.
