Bad crowds? -
12-08-2006, 09:45 PM
Ok there are some crowds where when you do windmills for like 30 miinutes straight they will still be screaming.
Well, i dont really mean like 30 minutes, but when they see any power move over and over again, they will never get bored.
How do you win a battle with a crowd like this?

Just have to trust that the judges know their shit and aren't influenced by the crowd. If they're halfway decent, it shouldn't matter what the crowd does. I always had trouble with dull crowds personally. You do a sick combo and they just sit there in silence... I hate that so much.

if the crowd is that dumb, then i'm guessing you're talking about dancing in front of a non-bboy crowd. honestly, i wouldn't have a serious battle with a crowd like that, but if you wanna win the crowd over, just do crowd pleasers.
from what i read on your other thread, you suck, so that'll be a problem. peace.

Obviously they ain't the true supporters of the bboying artform, so of course if you bust a sick footwork combo they won't cheer because they have no taste, all they think is "cool" is the power moves. I personally feel those type of people aren't worth showing your expression of the dance to, but if you really want to, learn powermoves, those are the "non-bboy" crowd pleasers.

Umm, you shouldn't care about what the crowd says, just dance for fun.
If you want the crowd to cheer for you, just do repetitive 6-step and they'll woot...
Oh yeah flapps, there are other ways to win a battle besides power.
