12-02-2006, 01:49 PM
Without doing hand stand moves?
cause personally i suck at hand stand moves, but i make up for it on the floor....... a bit....... Well anyways i was watching a Hong10 video the other day and I don't think he did a single hand stand move, and it made me wonder
Can a bboy be good without doing hand stand moves?

Of course. But you should still learn them. And practice them. And do them well.
Just a bboy standing in my bboy stance...

Well I would bet that Hong10 can do handstand moves, but its just not his strongest point.
I have : 6-step
Working on : Airflares

It's good to have variety. So work on handstands if they are your weakpoint.

Hah, it's strange, i spent an hour and a bit at the beach today practicing L Kicks and i'm no closer to getting them, instead my left hand feels all stiff and fucked up.
I've got decent footwork, i just want to work on footwork and some good freezes before i do more work on L kicks, i felt so disheartened today, i almost wanted to give bboying a rest for a while.
Peace

The problem was, you were practicing on a beach. It's VERY hard to balance if you're on unstable ground, being a handstandish move and all.
Of course, you have a greater chance of being injured if you're on absolutely flat ground, but it is proper (and easier) practice for balance so it's worth it.
After you fall, you'll learn how to fall correctly, then not worry about being injured, even on flat ground.
