how to burn a one move powerhead -

ok theres a dance this friday and my bud was like im gonna call you out but all he pretty much knows is windmill and basics and basic tops basic baby freeze when he said hes gonna battle me he said "im gonna do the windmill" i pretty sure thats all hes gonna do cause his other stuff sucks...and i cant do it ....how can i burn him at the dance should i go and do lots of style then he cant do windmill again or wht? any ideas? cause ppl always say hes better than me cause he can windmill and now i wana burn him

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I've had some experience with a situation like yours. The only thing the guy could do was a solid windmill and some footwork. To counter him, I just did beat-killin' footwork, and all kinds of freezes while he sat back and didn't do much on each set. So, yeah. My recommendation would be to go fully stylistic on him. to win the crowd over you need conventional moves which are powermoves,airfreezes and fast footworks.
to really win the battle just squeeze the juice outta him till he's dry.i'm sure he's pretty much a goner after he busts his mills.burn as many moves as you can. peace |

in my opinion... i don't think u can win a non-bboy crowd over to some one-move powerhead, if u don't have power urself....now if ur tops and footwork are VeRy good,u need to make up a masterpiece routine.... you'll need only 1-2 OUTSTANDING creative routines.. cuz this is how it would be:
Powerloser- does his mills crowd- cheers You- routine crowd- cheers louder powerloser- does his mills crowd- cheers a little bit, (infact, very close to silent) You- Routine Crowd- Cheers there you have it....... but... whether you like it or not, if you don't have impressive style (and i mean, VERY impressive), then you won't win the non-bboy crowd over.... cuz then it would be like this: Powerloser- Mills Crowd- Cheers You- basic toprock, basic footwork, baby freeze...... Crowd- (crickets chirp) ".... WtF?" You- walks away.... Crowd- "Hey Powerloser! Do those Spinnoroni's again!" Powerloser- Mills Crowd- Cheers |

lol. That is funny. I can just picture a dude doing basic tops and footwork and a cricket chirping. Sometimes beating a powermover means power grafted into style. It looks nice as well as a good burn if you combo it right. But i dont know what you have for power. Otherwise, do like they said and do really good style.

I gots a dance this friday too, This DJ and his boy (This guy i don't know, but he bboys) are gonna be watchin me. Even though I still overally suck, I'm going to wait till there's a big circle and the guy that I dislike (hate) goes out, and then I'm going to burn him good. (unless the bboy that's gonna be watchin me busts out some crazy crap)

-He keels over -Have the dj announce "FATALITY".... then rip off his head. -OR- The crowd thinks hes better than you already. So go wild on Friday. Try to act like his windmills are nothing and that you could do them if you wanted to, but you dont want to. Then, to embarass him and spark some bboy interest into the crowd, loudly ask "WHY DONT YOU DO SOME FLARES, YOU ONE MOVE POWERHEAD?" THe crowd will go, "what are flares?" then you run home and get back online to bboy.org, go to the flare guides, and work on flares until the next dance. Simple as that. Because everyone knows that flares kill windmills. |
