Still some Adidas (try some Forum Lows. They're lighter) and Pumas. But mostly Adidas.

EDIT: By the way, the Adidas I'm talking about are the pair in my pic/avatar.

Chuck Taylor's work fine, they don't cost a lot either if u worried about price

Everything is a process, breakdancing is no different.

Try out some Puma's and even some Nike lowtops, basically whatever's fairly light but doesn't make you feel like your ankle's going to break.

Peace

We all know they're called chuck taylors. It doesn't matter what you call them lol. Chucks, Chuckie T's, converse. But anyway, theyre good for breaking, but they don't least nearly as long as they should. Just make sure you don't tie the all the way up, don't choke them. Tornado, that list of what you can do is kinda corny, no offense.

New Balance & Puma Shoes - 09-07-2006, 12:30 AM

Me, and alot of bboys I know love the basic New Balance, it's got incredible padding like walking on clouds and it's a very durable, long lasting and fairly cheap shoe. I have like 5 different colors of the same standard model and I can spend hours dancing without my feet ever feeling sore, bruised or tired.
The other main shoes most power heads I know like is Pumas, because they are light and thin they don't scrape the floor when doing power and they are very comfortable and get good grip, almost like being barefoot but better. So for power I'd go the light, agile Pumas and for uprocks and footwork New Balance are bomb, even if they are slighyl bulkier. Respect -GRIZ

I would think pumas wouldn't be so good for breaking, as they are narrow thus allowing you to twist your ankle easier in them.

PS: Actual I've been breaking for like a total of 6 days , so ya its kind of dinky list, I know :P

Damn school taking up all my life...

I use to have adidas Rod Laver (famous tennis player) color green, and they worked out great. They weren't too heavy or too light, they were medium, just right. I also had a pair of those converse all stars that came out like 5 years ago, they were okay, just too light. Now I ordered a pair of Tribal Gears from their website and it's been over a month and a half and they still haven't come here. I am very interested to find out how they feel with power and 6-steps. Choose your shoe based on your style as well because if you get really light shoes and enjoy doing flares, it will be less of a challenge.

Pumas get dirty fast and the durability of them aren't that great either if you're talking about those soft cushiony kinds. Some skater type brands work out pretty good, like Global or Globe whatever it's called, Circa, shoes like that. I've got a pair of yellow girl G-Units that are like 2 years old and theyre actually really good for breaking in. I even dance in my size 9 Birdmans that weigh about 6 pounds each, lol! I can only do 2 flares with them but since they're so heavy I get alot of extra/free momentum in mills. They're also very stylish.
