Funny-light hearted B-Boys Vs. Competitive Serious B-Boys -
09-04-2006, 05:44 AM
Hi everyone! I'm shrapple.
I was just wondering if you are more into the casual light-hearted and funny b-boys like Jeromskee and Caveman, or if you prefer the serious competitive type of B-Boy's that do decapitation gestures and only battle in front of large audiences to embarrass their opponent like the lethal assassins B-Boy Jurock and Kazuhiro... ![]() |

Not a huge fan of jeromskee but he does have nice flow and some decently creative sets.
His tops are nice, he really dances to the beat. Peace |

See, he is light-hearted as his personality comes through and that really makes him shine, without the use of innapropriate jestures and aggressive uprocking.

i truly love to be light hearted...it's probably one of the ways to really win a battle or two..in my opinion
thats the reason i love Jeromskee..he really gets into his toprock.. and the aggressivness goes to his crew member Twixx since he gets mad and starts doing flips like nothing lol |

I find that Hispanic b-boys like Lil' Lazy and Boy come off as very funny and they really enjoy themselves when they go out there and throw themselves in the air. Hispanic b-boys in general really know how to have fun and keep things light-hearted w/o things getting out of hand. I'm not sure how long ago it was, but Jeromskee is now in RSC, so he's pretty much invincible now.

I too agree about what Mr. Bboy said about winning a battle in a light-hearted way. When you have a funny bboy and a competitive bboy go at and the funny bboy comes out on top, he is suprised just as much as anyone else that he won and it makes the win more special. A competitive serious bboy simply thinks he's going to win every battle and takes losses rather hard.

I remember Jeromskee comes out doing little footwork sets, Caveman just loses it and decides to do ZERO toprocks and just do his signature move *the shoulder halo... I love seeing things like that when they can just put their egos aside and have fun with eachother.
