Risible...

most don't know the meaning...
It means to cause laughter

I am a smart little kid and I love making people laugh
I tend to do a lot of unique moves, which sometimes seem stupid which makes my buddys laugh.

I don't really add "bboy" to my name since people know I'm a bboy because I'm on "BBOY".org
Tek is the name my friend (XLR8) gave me
in my opinion it means uncopyable style.

they used to call me bboy suicidal 'cos my dance group wasn't a bboy group and they didn't understand a lot of the moves. also because i liked to do/link moves from off of flip jumps.

B-boy Speed, because I used Speed@ all over the internet in the past four years, over 30 forums and nobody knows how to correctly read it with @ so Speed.
It also shows some of my style.

B-Boy Speed provably isn't unique, but if you search for Speed@ all you are going to find is me.
I canhged the username here cause of some weird profile link problem, instead of redirecting to profile Speed@ it redirected to Speed- ...

B-boy Resonance is my name.

The reason why I chose this name, was because I think it personally represents me. Trying to constantly improve, and eventually spreading out to more difficult moves. And trying to get myself out there, being me. And to resonate into other people's minds.

And I thought it sounded pretty tight. Ahaha.

There will be a day where you truly will resonate through the world.

I don't know about yall, but you get your nickname from your patnas, not from yourself...thats a little lame. lol
i mean its cool if you don't have any friends....but your name should be a reflection of what others see, because most likely you see yourself differently than how you actually appear to others.

Anyway, I was named Chu because My names Matthew ( Matchu) and because in cajun french(btw, im a cajun), chu means ass, and at highschool parties back in the gap, my drunk ass was an asshole to all the little dumb drunk girls, so when one of my friends called me Chu the name just stuck with all the fellas, and i was forever named.

i understand your story.
sorry, i just focused on your "but your name should be a reflection of what others see" statement.

i think that naming yourself a bboy/bgirl really does not require a very logical reason.

just choose the best that suits you and where you could be proud of.

you don't have to add too much fancy stuff when naming yourself.

that's why there's lots and lots of misconceptions here.

because people kept on adding too much fancy stuff on breakdancing/bboying.

no offense.but that's what i think and what i believe.

but i respect your opinion.

peace.
