The name's Facets. It's really more of a goal to me when it comes to my dancing. I want to have many facets in my style - a good amount of flo, musicality, power, tops, footwork, freezes, blowups - pretty much a well rounded bboy. In life, I can say I'm a faceted guy so I would like to match that in my bboying... only then will I be open to changing my bboy name - or keeping it.

Wow, some people I have known for decades don't even know this about me....b-girl names had a few of these....because I was infatuated with Bruce Lee and had posters of him when I was about 6 hangin in my room in the 70's so I used B-Girl Fluid (because if you know anything about him you know why). In my mid/late teens I used Pink Ice, because Icey Ice was one of my favorite b-boys growin up and I had a mad crush on him...and Ken Swift and I wore alot of pink....part of my "I'm the only GIRL rockin' the cypher in my hoods for many years" era. Throughout the times have used Ill Boogie (because I had to incorporate other styles like Poppn', Lockin' etc. since "mother nature" blessed me with being a voluptous woman at a very early age
), Ill FX, also because I have "IL or ILL" in my real first name, last name and the state I was born. I also used Ill Skillz and totally hilarious when I worked in corporate america and around the office grown folks would call me that or just Ill or Illy (still get called this can nobody can ever pronounce my first name)...and I actually had them rappin to me RUN-DMC's "You Be Illin'" while I'm walkin down the office hallways....and they had no clue I was actually a b-girl and they'd try to do a b-boy stance and I would bust a gut laughin at these lames. I also used Ill NaNa (cause NANA is the nickname I was given as a baby, but am still called that today), although it has a negative conotation (and alias of Foxy Brown) used in Reggae/Dancehall, which I also listen to. So every now and then someone will refer to me as B-Girl NaNa. For the past several years I elevated and try to be conscious of the world and that of my ancient peeps so I use Olmeca, cause the Olmecs were a civilization before the Mayas in Mexico, they're Asiatic, have African origin...and they were extremely dope in science, arts, etc...Class is always in session my friends, each one teach one. |

i got my name Mage Mark cause first of all my name is mark (yea lame reason i know) but anyways when i started breakin i toprocked alot cause i loved it, and i still do, so one of my friends comes to me and says my bboy name should be Mage Mark the toprock magician. after that i noticed my toprockin isnt as smooth or awesome as several other bboys so i just dropped the toprockin and stayed with Mage Mark.
