Breakin' (Hip-Hop) Documentary -
06-17-2006, 12:48 AM
Anybody see that one? I was flippin' channels the other day when I saw somethin' that sounded like a corrupt movie, when it started I saw it was a documentary to my dismay. To my great joy it was a Hip-Hop related one. Best part is that it's about the following, "Resistencia: Hip Hop in Columbia."
The DOC is about various crews and such down at Columbia, how they deal with the world, how they got into the Culture and Movement, how the world is dealing with them, and just about everything. It really blew me away. When it was over, my heart was serioulsy bleedin'. It was the most inspirational thing I've ever seen in my life. I mean, all these MANY cats got is Hip-Hop in their lives. You see this dude about to leave his home and he asks his mom to borrow him some money and she got a flat 0. He walks out sayin how you leave so insecure because as soon as you leave, the robbers just walk in. It's not a 'they can just walk in' it's a 'they do just walk in'. The most inspirational thing is how they really and literally got nothing and how they really make a life out of it. From ghetto to ghetto, etc. they really show it good. Anybody see it? And anybody got it recorded or anything? I've been searchin' for eva but all I got was a schedule from DOC (Documentary Channel) at www.documentarychannel.com Hands down MUST SEE for all Hip-Hop peoples from high to low, life to hobby. Props to all the cats an' homies down at Columbia keepin' it real for all the world to witness the power of this Culture and Lifestyle. |
