As in the united states? The hell it is not mandatory. If it were, ud know it. It is mandatory to sign up for the draft, n they have been thinking of ideas to bring the draft back but that is it. It is not mandatory, there numbers are low n dying each day. Even if they brought back the draft u can do war time support jobs n not need to go to the military if u have to. Its not even close to mandatory in the states.

n yea i can see ur argument on the standing up for ur family.....how u gonna protect them straight up if ur country got invaded? most people serving dont serve for the country, they serve to protect what they believe in.

there isnt a specific age that you have to go, as long as its after highschool you can choose to go right after graduating or get a job or go to college for a while and then go. most of my cousins went as soon as they graduated from highschool but 1 of them is attending college and will go in a year

From what i hear, i think everyone HAS to serve for a minimum of 2 years, im not sure there is a way out unless you have like a handicap. But you can actually finish basic training, which is a few months, and then get an office job or something :]

oh and that north korea vs south korea bboy video wasnt created while any of those bboys were serving, they used the set of a movie made a few years ago

many ppl try to get out of it~ if u obtain a doctors recommendation because u have a disability or handicap or something as simple as a breathing problem. both my cousins got a doctors recommendation so they only did basic training and stay on only as semi-reserve recruits if u can understand that.
It used to be 3yrs and u wer called up at 21yrs of age, now i think it's something like 2.5yrs or 30months and it is 21 or u can go b4 then like 18.

Mannnn, all i have to say is, it's good to be patriotic for your country but does your country treat you good enough to be patriotic for it???? That is the real question.I hear all this talk about war and for what? nothing.I mean, if i had to go to military because i was drafted then, I would simply ask them two questions, 1. do i have to fight in the frontline and 2.I have a Associates Degree Arts,And Nraf Certified and i would like to use what i know to provide the troops with profound food that could get them on the way to winning the war, because it's nutrient dense food that would......... and i would keep going on and on, about what i know about the culinary field, and how good i am and my expericence in the field.I would talk so much game, but if they told me i had to fight then it would be on, I am going to poison all the generals and the important figures to get the hell outta there

, mainly because once you dead, aint no coming back, No such thing as a pet cemetary(if anyone seen that movie, with the dog that get's killed and the stupid kid, buries the dog in an indian grave yard or a place where alot of indians got slaughtered.The dog later came back with a vengence and started eating this fat kid

I understand ur point but some cultures and countries have different perspectives on this issue~ and we've wondered way to far off the point of this thread so ima stop at this one n say this:

Wit kys gone, Gambler stil got Bruce Lee and Darkness - And there r plenty of powerheads left in Korea and the world= Cico(USA), Last for One(korea) and Rudolph(FRA) to name a few.
