I don't mind some krumping when i see it but alot of them seem to be quite cocky and unable to accept a loss. I was also watching some of their movements and is it just me or are alot of the movements in the dance bitten from other funkstyles? If it's not the case can someone explain to me where their influences come from? Peace |

^^ NO. shutup. Krumpers blatantly copy foundations of other dances to make up its own foundation. I don't see locking copying its foundation from other dances. yes, it can incorporate moves or tricks from other dances but it can and is a dance style without those tricks, which, in no way make up the foundations of the dance.
Every aspect I can see of krumping is a bite from other dances, and im not sure if it actually has foundation or not, but if it actually does than im pretty sure that it is a bite as well. I mean, The name of the 'dance' is a bite itself, all they did was change the C to a K! Krumping might actually even be a crappier dance than - no wait let me rephrase that, Krumping might actually be less of a dance than "hip hop dancing" is. |

damn...i'm seein a lot of real disrespectful statements...i don't understand why everybody hates on krumping...it's just another kind of dance. it's not bboyin. it's not a part of hip hop. it's ok to dislike it but hating on something just because you don't understand it is another thing.
Hip Hop is all about reinterpretation and resignification ('sampling' if you will) of already existing cultural trends. To take breakin for an example, look at how many movements are inspired by african dance, native american dance, hoofing, jazz, martial arts, cartoons, movies, etc.... so if hip hop can do it, why can't Krumping 'bite' movements from other kinds of dances? It's just a dance...it's not hurting anybody. Clearly the majority of people in the world don't consider bboying as a 'real dance'. So we as bboys KNOW what it's like to be misunderstood and not recognized for what we are. But it's natural. People in general just instinctively tend to condemn what they don't understand. Don't make the same mistake with krumping as the 'mainstream' does with bboyin...like i said, it's just another kind of dance. It's ok to not get it, and even not like it, but don't say it ain't real. Watch RIZE. that shit made me recognize that it is a 'real' dance to a lot of people. but whatever, that's just my advice...i've learned through experience to keep an open mind. Decrease the hate. I used to hate bboys that don't dance with soul, or only rock sets, or only dance to the 4 count, if they're on beat at all...but then i realized that this dance means different things to different people...so who am i to judge the way in which someone interprets? I may not like it, but go ahead, dance the way you want...it ain't takin away anything from me. Haters never prosper. James said it best. "The way I like it is the way it is.
