Bboy Sun, you're STARTING gymnastics, not trying out for Cirque du Soleil Here is a good website for gaining some great gymnastic strength though: http://www.dragondoor.com/cgi-bin/ar...&articleid=229

I do gymnastics, it's a combination of things,
stretching, flipping, rountines,
it also depents on what area in gymnastics your talking about
tumbling, balance beams, etc

But yeah same thing Joules said, just bridges and things that help you stretch your body. You could just stretch alot on your own to help you get ready for that if you want.

Bboy Sun, if you really need prep-type info for gymnastics, go to the "Moves" section of the forums here, then go down into the "How to Get In Shape" section. I have posted a guide on how to stretch properly for splits there, also a guide on gaining gymnastic strength, and also there's that website I posted above. The gymnastic strength guide has some links in it too, if I remember correctly.
Also some other people posted some links on things like squats and a video on one-armed pullups.

gymanstics...thats dope...i wish i had done that...well i would only have done it for the stretches and flips...and right now im teaching and landing my own flips...so all i would say is embrace whatever comes your way and stay dedicated
