Order of the Moves -
01-02-2006, 02:48 AM
Here's the deal.. I need help finding a great order of which i should learn. If I could get an order of the moves, I can EASILY master bboying. But, it HAS to be from a great bboy, because you know.. not much people go to the top because they always have to go back down and relearn or learn the forgotten moves for the harder moves.
I have the dvd. I first did the toprock and downrock and those basic freezes. Okay but, I just broke down. I didn't know like how I should move on after the toprock and downrock. Because like, there are so many different toprock moves and I tried learning them all and I guess I look fairly okay now. But for a guy like me, I want to PERFECT before moving on. So I kept practicing toprock and downrock. And then when I didn't see results(I did this continuasly from the time it was summer), I broke down. I saw all these people having real good moves and such that I thought I'd never get to. So I went back to train wrestling and stuff since I sacrificed what I was doing for bboying. Then I'm here now, because I can't stop dancing. Whereever I am, I need to dance. I hope there are those who experienced this because I'd know how they came back up. So if you'd please post the moves that you learned when you started till you are right now. And I also hope help from those good bboys on this site. P.S.- I don't know, but I just can't just dance and be better. When I did this, I was nowhere to be getting results. So I really don't know what yo are talking about when you've said this before. |

Toprock and footwork foundation is completely different to blow-ups and powermove foundation. If you wan't crazy moves, toprock and footwork isn't going to help you. However i think what you are doing (perfecting basics in tops + footwork) is a much better idea.
If you want to learn moves i suggest - Windmills, swipes and airfreezes to get you started. |

Don't take it that seriously man, practice other moves on the side. I just bust some music and toprock and a lil footwork in my room. And session hard on power moves separately. But about toprock and footwork, watch a lot of videos and see how people do things. I don't mean bite the, but check out the creativity so you can get a sense what you should be doing.
PS: Man I go off topic too much. talk is cheap man, just keep practicing. The order you learn moves in doesn't matter, aslong as you're not starting with airflares you'll be fine. Just go look on the beginner faq's. I dunno about this "mastering" bboying crap you're talkin about though. |

order? master?? perfect??? funk that shit.... forget it, I know top bboys that can't even headspin right just have fun when u practice, it's not like u're gonna die if u don't "master" a few moves if u never quit bboyin, stay away from bullshit, eat healthy food, get rest, practice hard.... sooner or l8er u'll get them moves down |
