do we? -

okay I've been bboying for about 4 months n I'd consider myself less then decent at bboying. Another bboy (bboying for 3 years) at my school started some stuff with me and was calling me a poser and a whack bboy. I battled him and lost (which we both knew was going to happen) just to get him off my back. So I was just wondering, don't most of us start out as posers or kind of whack in the begining anyway? I mean, nobody's a natural born bboy are they?

Noo not all BBOYS started off as posers. We all did start off wack though, but we were only wack because we were in the learning process.
Like me, I was Wack and a Grade A Poser when I started. Over time I learned the history, move descriptions and etc. My friend in the other hand started off when he was 11 after his uncle took him in as a student and taught him the history and everything. He started off not even caring about BBOYing, but eventually it grew on him. So me started off as a Wack Poser, Friend started off just Wack. |

actually just about ALL the bboys at my school think I'm whack just because the other bboy told them all stuff that was mostly lies =\
The bboy I battled was a junior n I'm just a freshman. There's only 2 freshman bboys at my school that I know about and I'm one of them. I think the main reason the junior thinks I'm a big ass poser is because he got some stuff twisted when I said "I'll battle anybody" when he was harrassing me. He was asking me if I'd battle these other guys and I meant to say it as "I'll battle anybody that calls me out, even if I know I'll lose because how else do you get better?" He also called me whack cause I told him I almost got my spinning flag down. He thought I made up the move. When I told him that I've seen Junior do them too, he said I was biting off Junior. Alot of other stuff too, he thought I was mean muggin him when I was just really tired and tried to say "hello" with a facial guesture (raising eyebrows & nodding head up). |

Just take this as a signal to practice more, then battle him later.
And the shit they're talking about you, just ignore it. It'll come and bite them in the ass later. |

this is what he said to call me out. It was a comment on my myspace:
"im callin u out SUCKA! to a real battle u think im messin? try me hah! ur gonna get fukin burned and plus u gottz tuh styll battle brent haha mang ur screwed and u aint no 20 yrs old WTF! change dat shit GAY! hah " I put 20 years old in the age section so I wouldn't get my myspace deleted because I'm only 14. BTW Brent is the other freshman bboy. |
