Bboy new year resolutions - 12-25-2005, 06:21 PM

I usually don't do new year resolutions because most people make resolutions just so they can say they have one when people ask, no one remembers that after a month. Thus, some bboy resolutions are something i'll actually remember and work for.

My new year resolutions:
Clean up my mills
learn flares and 90s
learn to combo mills to flares

EDIT:
learn and perfect crickets
get some progress on jackhammerssssss
and possibly pumping turtles (goddamn vp and his getting them freshman year, its gotta be those ham sandwiches)

Think I can do it in a year? Whats your resolutions?

ah, i started this thread last year. everyone check that thread (if you posted in it, bboy resolutions for the new year) to see if you made your resolutions. i didn't cuz i lost in that streetfight against darkness, phyicz, and kujo. those fuckers bite.

here's me:
-crazy headspins
-crazy airtracks and halos
-crazier planches and mill variations
-serve up everyone
-eat a ham sandwich
-abnormal flexibility
-1-finger lunar hops

Hah damn i almost thought i was original there. Well whatever, i guess posting on the old one would make it all messy like.

Try sandwich inverts (bread in the middle wrapped with ham), you won't get them anytime soon ofcourse.

Damn man you got halos and airtracks? You're gonna be in the You got served: second serving no doubt.

I posted in tom's thread last year and I think I accomplished nearly none of my resolutions. Let me go check.

Hahahah ok here we go, from last year
rollback pike
Kind of got it

fancy power
Uhh nope haha

airchair->airfreeze
Not really, got a weak one

strength moves and more blowups
Well I got more blowups ..

lunars and airthreads. And good airchairthreads.
Oddly enough I never bothered to practice lunars or airthreads again until like yesterday .. airthread yes lunars like 3 haha. Airchairthreads .. got them maybe 3 days after I posted this last year, and then lost em and never bothered with em again

and uhh better flow
Yeah

Sooo uhh yeah haha

I guess for next year:
solid long throwdowns
variety of long chains of blowups involving going up and down constantly that everyone at jayvee except for me seems to be able to do
flare airflare elbowtrack 90 power
more flavorrrrrrrr
get past the prelims at least once at any jam HAHA

ok here's mine from last year

-learn windmills..ARGH
-2 flares hopefully 3
-flare-mill
-2 1990s
-better hollowback and invert
-lot more flexible
-back hand spring
-backflip
-better frontflips
thats the jist of it

yea i got all those pretty much, plus more, except 2 90s cuz i only hit those once in a while.

THIS YEAR:

airchair threads
cleaner flips
better 90s
get flares down
better, and more mill variations
jackhammers
improve my style
airfreeze-airchair
rollback airfreeze
better strength and balance for everything
planches
splits, or at least a lot more flexible
1 hand hops
battle with the crew at at least 1 jam

thats pretty realistic for a year

me is
-getting higher on my rollback headhop(ill show yall when i get a cam)
-better transitions from that ^^^ to a freeze to make it look better.
-10+ one hand hops, ive hit 19 once, dear Lord did i drink too much red bull.
-5+ one hand hops while holding my othe leg, and hopefully, threading them. i can only do one or two of those, TOO HARD.
-cleaner footwork, my power is fine, i just want airtracks and transitions.
-better flexibility.
-getting better at my one handed hangs, i cant ever hit over five seconds no more.

[sigh] I worked awful hard last year, I hope I'm at a good pace.

Let's not kid ourselves! I'm way behind! Well, I was working on popping and locking a lot lately, so I guess that's absorbing my effort.

This year, I think I'll get those popular powermoves I keep putting off. That is:
windmills
headspins

I'll try for two 90s too!

Those are the things I need a resolution for, because I lack the tenacity to practice power till I get it right. But of course I will improve more in footwork and toprock! Gotta work a lot on freezes and transitions though... I don't even know where to begin.

Ugh it's so hard to have so far to go! Oh well I can definitely meet my power resolutions even though it's awful hard being 6'1"! Sorry for opinion for so long but I have to let off a bit of anxiety. Congratulations on setting and meeting your goals, guys!
