i dunno if this has been done but whatever i dnt care,
i got into bboying for the reason to show up my bro when we dance, hes a really good popper, he cant break coz really flexable and cnt deal with the injuries that we get, i took to the sport naturally because i was a gymnast so most of the powermoves and flips i can do. i didnt realize wot the bboy scene was like till i saw the bboy summit some of the guys are sick heads and crazey and flow so well, theyve inspisered me do it!!!!! now that thats over how di u lot get into the scene? |

one time in cross country practice i was tired of being inefficient about going to quad stretches(its like pushup position but you stretch your calves). so i started doing roll backs into quad stretches and then that involved into a backwards kipup where you do a bit of a roll in midair and then land on your feet. i got props for those, and i enjoyed it. not long after i downloaded mike garcia volume one.

Whatever your reasons for starting that's fair enough.
I've got one problem with your post. This is not a sport. Never has been, and never will be. It's almost always the case that people with a gymnastic background view it as a sport because of the physical element, but if all you have is the physical element, you're not a dancer, you're not a bboy. BBoying is a dance, it's an art. If the core of what you do is gymnastic moves, flips and spins, then you're not dancing. The core of your dance has to be the music, that's why it's an art and not a sport. It's driven not by attainment of set goals, or by performance in set circumstances, but is driven by how you respond to the music personally in your heart, and in your soul. That's not sport. |

A bboy without style, is like a broken pencil.
There's just no point. |
