Question Express in the Break Dance - 08-05-2005, 06:45 PM

Good .. since I have some doubts .. the truth, I do not deal since I will be able to express with the Break Dance, since I am beginning, but I do not manage to deal as such a blurredrapid, and corporal dance it can be expressive.

It can be expressive .. but I rather would say that in the Break Dance it finds it hard to express with clarity..

People, do not be if they manage to understand me .. I do not deal as the people it can say so many foolishness like " EXPRESS NOT IMPRESS " or things like that, since I feel that the Break Dance not is so expressive dance different , in this case, I think that is more demanding .. more powerful .. more strong .. good do people, what think?

I thought accidentally to offend nobody..! Good luck
Peace

i think he's trying to say that bboying isnt a good dance for one's self expression.

I got ya, Wideshoes (I think). Yeah, bboying is more demanding than all of the other forms of dancing. You've just gotta keep practicing. And, in my opinion, you CAN express yourself with..."clarity". Just execute some moves with your own style. For example, your 6-step doesn't have to be the same as everybody else's. Just add some style to it--some stuff you came up with. That's one form of self-expression in bboying (I think), and I'm sure the rest of the bboys/bgirls here can give you better forms of expression. That's my take on it, and I hope what I said did relate to what you were talking about.

Alot of people misunderstand the term "expression" in bboying.
Its not about showing your feelings or some crap like that, its about showing your style, which is the result of hard training like you mentioned earlier.

id say it is harder to express yourself through bboying than through many other types of dancing because it takes so long just to learn the fundamental movements correctly

Umm.. ya people.. I have liked very much his opinions .. good, at least I tried to decipher them since I do not dominate very well the English. Yes, also I approve the opinion of which expression exists in the Break Dance, as good Swiper and Samurai have said, expression exists when someone does a movement and distorts it with his style, is nice. But I believe that the majority of bboys do not dance to express, if not to spend it well, or to impress to the public...no?

In end they continue thinking ... and thank you for your help.

what is that based on? your personal opinion. you have no idea if most bboys dance to express or not, so dont take a guess and say that they dont.

No, man. I was basing on a doubt, not on a provocation to whom I express or not, alone tape-worm you doubt, man.

Wow i didnt understand a damn thing you said wideshoes. Instead of worrying about expressing yourself through dancing, you need to fix up your expression through the english language...
