See if your bboy name was: "erfgfhghethyrth_adsfgdgsdf111" and someone "stole" it, then it would be biting. However if your bboy name is a well known word, then chances are pretty big that someone, somewhere has the same name. Let your ability and skills define your name, not vice versa.
P.S My bboy name is not Riff Raff. |

no no no, the xanga.com/mr_Oreo is me,just go there and look at my most recent post.
and ya'll need to understand, i've had this name for over 5 years now, every jam that i go to everybody in the area knows me for this name, and its not like i just picked it out of nowhere theres a long story behind it from when i first started breaking, and i was even polite to that kid when i told him i've had this name for a very long time and that he should either change it or live up to the name, and he decided to talk shit. Im out. |

Too bad there's not really anything you can do. But you know if he ever breaks in your turf, everyone will laugh and say "That's not oreo!"
That's how you protect your name. Of course I guess back in the day in New York people would sometime stake their names on battles- like they couldn't use their name or even crew name again if they lost. With bboying spreading all overt the place geographically it's actually a little unrealistic to expect to have a name that nobody else tries or to stop them. So you can handle it. At least you HAVE a nickname. *jealous* |

Yeah it would be tight if there were a lot of drama >=)
Now here's a cool idea what if some crazy skilled underground bboy appeared and challenged someone like, say, Do Knock, for his name? That would be somethin! |

It's been said, but as much as there's a story behind it, Oreo is hardly original. Oreo cookies anyone?
Well known brand, cool name, you can count on other's having it. Anyway battling for names would be cool. Just needs commitment. That's how Kid Freeze got his name. He took it. I've yet to hear of another "Stiff" - but I wouldn't be too surprised if I did. |

A bboy without style, is like a broken pencil.
There's just no point. |
