Well, I mean, my parents don't really care that I do it or not except that they are worried I'm gonna get hurt.

If you're at school, you shouldn't be spending your whole time dancing.
Do all you can to get the best grades you are capable of getting. Then when you've done your work you dance. If your folks are hassling you about wasting time, it's probably because they know you could be getting better than average grades (or at least better than you are) - and all the time you spend dancing is keeping you from achieving like you should. You don't have to stop dancing - I work between 10 and 18 hours a day, 6 days a week and still find time to dance. School college and university are a walk in the park compared to that kind of workload. |

So sit him down and explain to him.
Show him your finished homework. If he knows and can see that you've done your work he should lay off. Also don't do the minimum. Go the extra mile on your work, improve your grades while at the same time dancing. No parent should have a problem with you dancing if your studies show improvement too. |

Yeah, I have too much freetime this summer, that is pretty much all I've been doing. Working on Flares and Freezes and shit, so then when school starts up, I won't have to practice all the time.

Yeah my parents are the same way. I spend all of my time outside of school dancin'. It's really hard to get good grades and it even takes effort to get decent ones. During the school year I have a hip-hop classes that I teach from 7 to 9:00 and the time before that I spend on my bboying and just getting a bite to eat cause that only leaves me with like 3 hours to practice and eat then a half hour to get around. I also spend about a half hour of my lunch to break so my parents are constantly givin' me shit. But this next school year is my senior year they are seein' that I'm goin places with it so they don't know what to think about it.
